Jillian Amodio is a writer, author, speaker, mental health advocate, and mother of two. She is working on her master’s degree in social work. She has been actively involved in mental health legislation and suicide prevention. She is a board member for National Alliance for Mental Illness (NAMI) Anne Arundel County.
Jillian has been featured in Psychology Today magazine, Psych Central, U.S. News & World Report, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Shape, and more. She has spoken before state and county legislators about LGBTQ initiatives, anti-bullying efforts, and mental health efforts. She has been a conference presenter for nonprofit organizations like Maryland Community Action Partnership on topics such as implicit bias. Jillian has also facilitated group therapy programs designed to use a mindfulness-based approach in working with children on the autism spectrum.
