Hilary Macht is a longtime health writer and former health editor whose work has appeared in dozens of media outlets including Everyday Health, The New York Times, Prevention, Civil Eats, and the Columbia Journalism Review. Her work is distributed by the National Center for Health Research and the Foundation for Informed Medical Decision Making.
She was previously a senior editor at American Health for Women and health features editor at McCall’s, where she won awards for Excellence in Media and Public Education and was a frequent guest on network and cable news shows, including “Today in New York” (NBC), “In Food Today” (Food Network), CNBC, and others. Her groundbreaking story on Big Pharma and the media was featured on “CBS Evening News.”
Hilary completed her bachelor's degree in comparative literature at Hamilton College and received her master's degree in journalism from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, where she concentrated in health, science, and environmental writing. Hilary also obtained a TESOL Certificate from Teachers College, Columbia University.
