About Eliquis

Eliquis (apixaban) is used to lower the chance of stroke in people with a medical condition called atrial fibrillation. Eliquis is a direct acting anticoagulant, which works by thinning the blood to prevent blood clots from forming. The most common form of Eliquis is a 2.5mg tablet. It is also avalible as a 5mg tablet. There are currently no generic alternatives for Eliquis. It is covered by some Medicare and insurance plans, but some pharmacy coupons, manufacturer programs, or cash prices may be lower.
