With over a decade of experience as a physical therapist, Ashley has established herself as a specialist in pelvic health. Her diverse career spans clinical practice, academia, and health content creation.
She has owned a specialized practice focusing on obstetric and pelvic health. And she has taught pelvic health courses at the University of Texas, Southwestern (UTSW) for physical therapy doctorate students. Ashley has also guest lectured on differential diagnosis at UTSW and the University of North Texas, and she has served as a lab assistant for Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute.
As a clinical content specialist at Origin Physical Therapy, she led the development of patient education materials and designed a virtual fourth-trimester patient program.
Ashley contributes academically as a manuscript editor for physical therapy doctoral candidates at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), and as a peer reviewer for the Journal of Women’s & Pelvic Health Physical Therapy. She has coauthored a chapter on pelvic pain treatment in a medical textbook and regularly writes for Origin Physical Therapy.
Ashley holds a bachelor’s in statistics from California State University, Chico, where she also competed as a heptathlete on the track and field team. She has a doctorate in physical therapy from the joint program offered by the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), and San Francisco State University.
Ashley has also pursued advanced certifications in pelvic and obstetric health through the American Physical Therapy Association.
