Eaton-Lambert Syndrome

Eaton-Lambert syndrome occurs when the immune system attacks nerve cells causing muscle weakness. Symptoms include difficulty chewing, difficulty moving legs, drooping eyelids, blurry vision, and drooping head.

Treatment includes medication, plasma exchange, plasmapheresis, and treating underlying condition. A drug class used to treat Eaton-Lambert syndrome is the acetylcholine releasing agent class. It works to reduce muscle weakness and fatigue.
