Concerta is one form of methylphenidate ER. Other brand names for methylphenidate ER include Ritalin LA, Metadate CD, Quillivant XR, and Daytrana. These aren't the only brand names available. There are differences between the various forms of methylphenidate ER. Some people respond better to one more than the others. So it may take time to find the form that works best for you.
