Laurie Tarkan is a senior health editor for general health and well-being at GoodRx. She has an extensive background in health journalism, and wrote regularly for The New York Times for a decade. She got her start at Self magazine and has been a frequent contributor to a host of women's and health magazines and websites.
Laurie is also the author of several health books, including “My Mother's Breast: Daughters Face Their Mothers’ Cancer,” and “Perfect Hormone Balance for Fertility: The Ultimate Guide to Getting Pregnant.”
At GoodRx, Laurie produces valuable and engaging health articles that empower people to advocate for their health — which has always been part of her personal mission. Before coming to GoodRx, she was part of a small but mighty editorial team at a health tech company.
Laurie received her bachelor's degree in communications studies and French at Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA. She earned her master’s degree in print journalism at New York University, Graduate School of Arts and Science.
