RIBOFLAVIN 5'-PHOSPHATE treats an eye condition in which the clear outer layer of the eye (cornea) thins or weakens. This can cause vision changes. It is used in combination with ultraviolet light therapy. It works by making the bonds in the cornea stronger. It is a form of vitamin B. Compare photoenhancers.

What should I tell my doctor?
They need to know if you have any of these conditions:
- Aphakia, a condition where there is no eye lens
- Have had an eye infection caused by the herpes virus
- Wear contact lenses
- An unusual or allergic reaction to riboflavin 5'-phosphate, other medications, foods, dyes, or preservatives
- Pregnant or trying to get pregnant
- Breastfeeding
How should I use this drug?
This medication is only for use in the eye. It is given by your care team in a hospital or clinic setting.
Talk to your care team about the use of this medication in children. While it may be given to children as young as 13 years for selected conditions, precautions do apply.
What if I miss a dose?

This medication is given in a hospital or clinic. It will not be stored at home.
