Xarelto (rivaroxaban) is an anticoagulant blood thinner used to treat and prevent blood clots that are related to certain conditions involving the heart and blood vessels. Xarelto is a direct acting oral anticoagulant which works by thinning the blood to prevent blood clots from forming. The most common form of Xarelto is a 20mg tablet. It is also avalible as a titration pack and a bottle of oral solution. There are currently no generic alternatives for Xarelto. It is covered by some Medicare and insurance plans, but some pharmacy coupons, manufacturer programs, or cash prices may be lower.
