Victoza (liraglutide) is used to treat diabetes type 1 and diabetes type 2. Victoza is a GLP-1 agonist, which works by helping the pancreas produce more insulin. The most common form of Victoza is a carton of three 18mg/3ml pens. It is also available as a carton of two 18mg/3ml pens. There are currently no generic alternatives for Victoza. It is covered by most Medicare and insurance plans, but manufacturer and pharmacy coupons can help offset the cost.
