You should take Vitamin E and fatty acids each day while you are taking this medicine. Talk to your doctor or healthcare provider about how to add these to your diet.
Do not become pregnant while taking this medicine. Women should inform their doctor if they wish to become pregnant or think they might be pregnant. There is a potential for serious side effects to an unborn child. Talk to your health care professional or pharmacist for more information. This medicine can cause liver injury. The risk of liver injury is increased in patients who drink alcohol while taking this medicine. Do not drink more than one alcoholic drink per day while taking this medicine.
Common and Rare Side Effects
Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.
Check with your doctor immediately if any of the following side effects occur:
Arm, back, or jaw pain
chest pain or discomfort
chest tightness or heaviness
fast, irregular, pounding, or racing heartbeat or pulse
loss of appetite
unusual tiredness or weakness
upper right abdominal or stomach pain
yellow eyes and skin
Some side effects may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Also, your health care professional may be able to tell you about ways to prevent or reduce some of these side effects. Acid or sour stomach
excess air or gas in the stomach or intestines
frequent urge to defecate
full or bloated feeling
general feeling of discomfort or illness
muscle aches and pains
pressure in the stomach
stomach discomfort, upset, or pain
straining while passing stool
stuffy or runny nose
swelling of the abdominal or stomach area
