What is Hyperparathyroidism?

Hyperparathyroidism occurs when there is too much parathyroid hormone (PTH) being produced. Symptoms include bone pain, fatigue, kidney stones, nausea, depression, and increased urine production.

Treatment includes taking medication. Common drug classes used to treat hyperparathyroidism are calcimimetics and vitamin D analogues.
