Endometriosis is a condition affecting females. It occurs when the cells that line the uterus start to grow in other parts of the body. Symptoms include painful menstruation, abdomen pain, lower back pain, and painful intercourse.
Treatment for endometriosis includes taking medication and surgery. Common drug classes used to treat endometriosis are androgens, gonadotropin releasing hormone agonists, progesterones, and progestins.
