Akynzeo is part of the NK1 / Serotonin Antagonist Combinations class and treats Nausea. The combination of an NK1 receptor antagonist with a serotonin antagonist is used to prevent nausea and vomiting associated chemotherapy. The serotonin antagonist helps in the first 24 hours after chemotherapy, while the NK1 antagonist also helps with delayed symptoms, from 25 to 120 hours afterward.
