Advair (
fluticasone/
salmeterol) is used to treat
asthma and
COPD. Advair is a
beta agonist/
corticosteroid combination, which works by preventing inflammation in the lungs and relaxing airways for better airflow. The most common form of Advair is a 250mcg/50mcg diskus inhaler. It is also available as 100mcg/50mcg and 500mcg/50mcg diskus inhalers, and 45mcg/21mcg, 115mcg/21mcg and 230mcg/21mcg hfa inhalers. Advair is also available as a generic. It is covered by some Medicare and insurance plans, but some pharmacy coupons or cash prices may be lower.
