Weight Loss

What is Weight Loss?

Becoming overweight or obese can cause a number of health problems. Factors such as stress, anxiety, alcohol, and little or poor sleep can contribute to gaining weight. Weight gain can also be a symptom of a number of medical conditions.

Sometimes diet and exercise are not enough. Medication can be taken to aid in weight loss. Common drug classes used to aid in weight loss are central nervous system stimulants, lipase inhibitors, sympathomimetics, and growth hormone releasing factors.

    March 28, 2014

Manufacturer GlaxoSmithKline has voluntarily issued a recall for all of its non-prescription Alli weight loss products in the United States and Puerto Rico. The recall is due to concerns that the product packages may have been tampered with, and do not actually contain Alli.

Tablets and capsules that were not Alli have been reported in Alli bottles in seven states, and in some cases, bottles were missing labels and had fake tamper-evident seals. See More
