Calcium deficiency occurs when there are low levels of calcium in the blood. Symptoms include tingling in the hands, feet, and mouth, muscle spasms, arrhythmias, depression, and memory loss.

Treatment for calcium deficiency includes the use of calcium supplements and calcium injections. Vitamin D analogues can also be given to aid in the absorption of calcium.
