TRUEbalance and TRUEtrack Meters Recalled

by Elizabeth Davis on January 14, 2014 at 3:23 pm

Some TRUEbalance and TRUEtrack meters sold in the US between September 2008 and May 2013 are being recalled by the manufacturer, Nipro Diagnostics.

These meters have an incorrect unit of measure, and they display glucose results in mmol/L instead of mg/dl. This could cause a lower than expected glucose reading.

You can check if your meter is affected by callingĀ 1-866-236-4518 or going to the website atĀ You’ll just need the serial number from the back of your meter.

The manufacturer will be replacing the meters free of charge.

If you have any questions, you can find more information in the FDA bulletin here.
